Westmount Public Safety delivers support kits to unhoused people, helping them stay safe and warm during the coldest days of winter.
Since 2023, Public Safety Officers have been handing out these kits during colder weather or whenever they encounter someone in need. Each kit includes essential items for hygiene, warmth, and sustenance, such as travel-sized hygiene products, clean socks, gloves, hats, instant hand warmers, non-perishable food items, gift cards for a hot drink or small meal, and first aid supplies.
