The City of Westmount offers year-round opportunities for fun on the ice.
Skating and hockey activities are offered by registration through the City's Sports and Recreation Department.
The Westmount Recreation Centre features two indoor skating rinks. Skating and hockey activities are offered by registration by the City's Sports and Recreation Department and take place here. Time slots for general skating and general hockey are also available.
All lessons or private instruction must be on a one-to-one basis.

The indoor skating rinks are accessible upon presentation of a valid Facility Access Card or guest pass. All passes must be purchased in advance, notably before making a reservation for the skating rink
Reserve your time for general skating and hockey
Before reserving your time slot, ensure you have a valid Facility Access Card or guest pass. Reservations can be made as of noon up to three days in advance.

During the winter season, outdoor skating rinks are installed in numerous parks around Westmount. Outdoor rinks may open as early as mid-December, weather permitting. The ice conditions of each outdoor rink may vary because of snow clearing and temperature fluctuations.
All outdoor skating rinks are closed between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. Comfort stations, offering an indoor location to warm up, change into your skating gear, and use the bathroom, vary in availability and hours of operation from one park to the next.

The mission of the Westmount Minor Hockey Association (WMHA) is to promote and provide a high quality organized hockey experience for all of its participants.
WMHA will provide organized hockey in both Recreational House Leagues (RHL) and also in Representative Team (RT) categories. WMHA will consider both RHL and RT hockey as having equal importance.
WMHA will encourage and promote participation (ie. players, referees and other game officials, coaches, trainers, conveners, parents, general members, committee members and board members) by as many interested persons as possible in order to provide this quality hockey experience.
WMHA will endeavor to continuously improve through the support and development of all participants in their desires to become the best that they can be in their form of participation.
WMHA will provide this quality hockey experience all the while respecting its own By-Laws and Rules and Regulations and, where applicable, the philosophical ideals and the rules and regulations of Hockey Quebec (HQ) and Hockey Canada (HC).
WMHA will provide this quality hockey experience with the highest standards possible within our means and with reasonable regard to cost for the participants.
WMHA will endeavor to continuously find ways to measure its success in accomplishing this mission and vision.
