Illegal Dumping: Avoid a fine!
An increase in illegal dumping in public bins has recently been observed in Westmount.
The City reminds residents that, per by-law 1475, it is strictly prohibited to dispose of any private waste (garbage, recycling, compost) in public garbage cans or on public spaces (streets, alleys, sidewalks, parks, green spaces, etc.) under penalty of fines.
This winter, household waste collection is scheduled weekly. Take advantage of this service and place your waste street side or along accessible lanes according to your sector's collection schedule.
