Increased Security Measures During the Holiday Season
Following the recent tragic events that occurred during a Chanukah celebration in Australia, enhanced surveillance measures are being implemented throughout the City of Westmount by the Westmount Public Safety Department and the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
To ensure the safety and peace of mind of all during the holiday season, the visibility and vigilance of Public Safety and SPVM officers will be increased. Patrols will be stepped up as a preventive measure around public gathering places.
Westmount Public Safety is taking all necessary measures to ensure that the public can participate in celebrations safely, without fear of intimidation or reprisals.
