Ville de Montréal: Resumption of work on Saint-Antoine and Saint-Jacques streets

The Ville de Montréal will resume rehabilitation work on Saint-Antoine and Saint-Jacques streets during the week of April 27, with completion expected in early June.

Traffic disruptions are expected in the area between De Courcelle and Lenoir streets, including partial and full closures at various stages of the project.

Traffic impacts

  • On Saint-Antoine Street, between De Courcelle and Lacasse streets: partial closure with at least one lane maintained until mid-May.
  • Home Depot access: access via Saint-Antoine Street will be closed. The store will be accessible only via De Courcelle and Lenoir streets, with on-site signage indicating detour routes.
  • Starting mid-May: full closures of Saint-Antoine Street, between De Courcelle and du Couvent streets, are planned for approximately one week to allow for asphalt paving work. To minimize impacts on traffic and commercial activity, asphalt paving operations will be carried out overnight.

Parking restrictions will also be in effect near the work zone. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained, while public transit service may be adjusted during the work.
