Small-Item Recovery Station at the Westmount Recreation Centre
A new small-item recovery station has been installed at the Westmount Recreation Centre to provide an eco-friendly option for disposing of items that aren't accepted in regular recycling programmes. These items are fully recyclable and recoverable through our partnership with Go Zero Recycle.
Accepted items include:
- School and office supplies: pens, pencils, brushes, paper clips, erasers, erasers, scissors, sharpeners, rulers, binders, clipboards, glue, etc.
- Empty aerosols: spray cans, nasal sprays, inhalers, perfume bottles, hairspray, paint cans, etc.
- Event-related items: glow sticks, plastic utensils, biodegradable containers, tablecloths, garlands, bows, balloons, decorations, etc.
- Miscellaneous household waste: razors, toothbrushes, toothpicks, small toys, dental floss, plastic cards, unusable textiles, etc.
