A New Electric Mower for More Sustainable Maintenance
The City has recently acquired a new electric mower equipped with mulching blades specially designed for leafcycling and grasscycling. These practices involve shredding leaves and grass clippings to naturally enrich the soil.
This mower offers a solution that is both more sustainable and more efficient: its precise cutting mechanism reduces mowing time by half and eliminates the need for a second employee to mow around trees or poles.

Instead of bagging your grass and leaves in paper bags, shred them with mulching blades. You’ll save money on bags while improving your soil’s health and the shredded material will enriches the soil, retains moisture, and strengthens your lawn’s resistance to drought and disease.
Good to know
Obtain a 50% reimbursement on the cost of mulching blades, up to a maximum of $150. For more information about the Green Grant Programme.

Grass, leaves, and other yard waste are strictly prohibited in household garbage. When organic materials decompose without oxygen in landfills, they release polluting gases.
