Starting the week of June 9, preparatory work and the start of rehabilitation work on water and sewer pipes will begin on Greene Avenue between Saint-Antoine and Sainte-Catherine streets. The estimated duration of work is 3 months.
The project consists of repairing and rebuilding a water main. It will also integrate Westmount Public Works operations. A secondary sewer will be repaired, water connections will be replaced, and utilities and roads will be rebuilt. The approximate duration of the work site is 6 months.
Preparatory Work
From June 9 to 13
Nature of the work: exploratory excavations and measurement of water and sewer pipes.
Avenue Greene: Partial obstructions between Rue Saint-Antoine and Rue Sainte-Catherine .
Sidewalks and buildings accessible at all times.
No parking in construction areas. Please respect the traffic signs.
Water and Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation Work
From June 16 – Traffic and parking for this phase of the work
Avenue Greene : complete closure, between Rue Saint-Antoine and Boulevard Dorchester. Local traffic will allow between Rue Prospect and Rue Saint-Antoine.
Intersection of Avenue Greene and Rue Sainte-Catherine: complete closure for one week.
Maintaining access to buildings and businesses;
No parking in construction areas;
On-site signage will indicate all instructions to follow (detours, speed limits, local traffic, etc.)

Work schedule
Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Some operations may be postponed or extended due to weather conditions or other constraints.
The use of construction site tools and other construction equipment may cause odours, dust, noise and vibrations despite all the control measures planned by the team of experts who ensure that disturbing aspects of the construction site are minimized.

Temporary Interruption of the Water Supply
A door hanger specifying the date, time and all details will be distributed in advance to affected residents. There will be coordination with businesses to limit the impact on their activities.
Mobility and Active Travel
Pedestrian walkways to ensure access to homes and other buildings at all times.

Garbage, Recycling and Compost
Collection schedule: according to the usual schedule.
Restricted area: Place your trash cans and bins, clearly identified with your address, in the usual location. Containers that are inaccessible to garbage collectors will be moved by the contractor.
