The Ville de Montréal will be continuing water main reconstruction work on Atwater Avenue as part of a multi-phase project. The second phase of the work is scheduled from July 13 to July 23, 2026, on Atwater Avenue between René-Lévesque Boulevard West and Sainte-Catherine Street West.
This work is intended to maintain the reliability of the water distribution system and ensure the safety and integrity of municipal infrastructure in the area.
Traffic disruptions are expected, including the closure of east-side lanes on Atwater Avenue and two-way traffic shifted to the west side, with one northbound lane and two southbound lanes maintained. Work will also require the closure of eastbound traffic on Tupper Street between Atwater Avenue and Lambert-Closse Street, while one westbound lane will remain open.
Additional traffic management measures will be in place, and road users are asked to follow temporary signage on site.
