Reconstruction of Mountain Avenue between Cedar Avenue and Sherbrooke Street
Reconstruction work on Mountain Avenue, between Cedar Avenue and Sherbrooke Street, will begin during the week of August 17, 2026. The project will be carried out in two phases and is expected to continue until the end of August 2027.
The project includes:
- reconstruction of the roadway structure and sidewalks;
- reconstruction of the street lighting network;
- installation of an upgraded combined sewer and stormwater retention system, requiring the relocation of portions of the Énergir gas main and the water main.
During construction, Mountain Avenue will be closed to traffic within the work zone, and detour routes will be in place. Pedestrian access to residences and waste collection services will be maintained.
