Reconstruction of Mountain Avenue
Reconstruction work on Mountain Avenue, between Cedar Avenue and Sherbrooke Street, is expected to begin this summer (to be determined) and last approximately 29 weeks, split between the 2026 and 2027 construction phases.
The project includes:
- full reconstruction of the roadway;
- upgrades to underground infrastructure, including a new combined sewer system;
- relocation of sections of the water and natural gas mains;
- reconstruction of sidewalks;
- installation of new streetlighting infrastructure;
- road line painting.
During the work, some residents may experience short interruptions to water and/or natural gas services. Traffic and parking will also be impacted within the construction zone.
