Road marking operations are currently planned throughout the municipality, including streets, bike lanes, and pedestrian crossings.
Update on June 1: Please note that epoxy pavement marking work will begin on June 2 and 3. Subject to weather conditions and any unforeseen circumstances, bollard installation will begin thereafter, based on the progress of the work.
Surface preparation work required ahead of marking operations, which may generate noise due to the use of pneumatic equipment, is generally carried out in the evening and overnight to ensure the safety of workers, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians, while minimizing daytime traffic disruptions. The City understands the inconvenience this may cause and thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
Following this phase, marking operations will continue as targeted nighttime work. These activities are generally less noisy and produce a more consistent sound level. Road marking work will be carried out in stages between May and July, with a possible extension into August if required.
Priority markings including centre lines, pedestrian crossings, and stop lines will be completed first, followed by secondary road markings. Project planning and progress depend on field conditions as well as coordination with other municipal works.
These annual maintenance activities are essential to ensure clear and visible road markings, contributing to the safety and mobility of all road users.
