Closure of Route 136 During the Weekend of April 10
The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable advises that Route 136 (Ville‑Marie and Viger tunnels, including main ramps) will be closed in both directions between Panet Street and Atateken Street from Friday, April 10 at 11 p.m. until Monday, April 13 at 5 a.m., for major maintenance and repair work in the tunnels.
Closure and detour details
- Westbound: between Panet Street and the entrance from Lucien‑L’Allier Street
- Traffic will be detoured via Avenue Viger and Saint‑Antoine Street West
- Eastbound: between exit no. 4 (Victoria Bridge, boulevard R.-Bourassa, rue de la Montagne) and the entrance from Atateken Street
- Traffic will be detoured via Saint‑Antoine Street
What to expect
- Delays and congestion are expected in the area
- Road users are encouraged to plan ahead and check Québec 511 for road conditions and alternate routes
- Closures may be postponed or cancelled due to weather or operational constraints
