City Works in 2026: Protect your underground installations
As part of its 2026 Capital Works Programme, the City of Westmount is planning infrastructure work on several streets (see table below) between May and November 2026. The completion and dates of the work will depend on the awarding of contracts and weather conditions.
If your property is located near one of the work areas mentioned below, and in order to avoid accidental damage, please inform the Engineering Department if you have the following on your property:
- Heated sidewalk or heated driveway
- Irrigation system
- Any other underground or special installations near the street

Sherbrooke Street (between Grosvenor Ave.and Strathcona Ave.) | Road resurfacing, sidewalk reconstruction on the north side, localized sidewalk reconstruction on the south side, replacement of public street lighting network, and Hydro Westmount network reconstruction. |
