On January 16, 2026, By-law 1652, which establishes the property tax rates, was adopted by City Council during a Special Council Meeting.
New for 2026: It will now be possible to pay your property taxes in three interest-free installments.
Westmount property owners can receive and consult their tax account online on Voilà!.
Voilà! is an online portal that consolidates information on a property’s taxation data, assessment notice, and tax details. This information is available to the owner online once the bills has been issued.
Below are the municipal tax rates for 2026 per $100 of assessed value (as well as last year’s rates, for reference):

For 2026, the average single-family home value, according to the new valuation roll of the City of Montreal, is $2,705,159, resulting in a total property tax bill of $17,808 (including the special Infrastructure tax).
