The City of Westmount is seeking a candidate to sit on its Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) beginning in March 2026. The deadline for applications is November 14 at 1 p.m.
The Planning Advisory Committee is established under by-law 1575 in accordance with the provisions of the Act Respecting Land Use Planning and Development. The mandate entrusted to the PAC by City Council, in accordance with the applicable by-laws, is to review files within its jurisdiction and provide:
To complete the current composition of the PAC and fill a vacancy in accordance with the by-law, the candidate sought for this mandate must be a Westmount resident and member in good standing of the Ordre des architectes du Québec.
The committee meets around once a month, on the mornings of Tuesday and Thursday of the same week, and the 2025 meeting schedule is available on the municipal website, as a reference. The 2026 calendar will be issued shortly.
After administrative review of the applications, Council may, at its discretion, make an appointment by resolution. The term of office for a PAC member is one or two years.
