Recycling Cigarette Butts With the Mégot Zéro Programme

New megot zero astray on Greene Avenue

In an effort to eliminate the environmental impact of cigarette butts, ashtrays from the Mégot Zéro programme have been installed at Prince Albert square and in front of the 5 seasons on Greene Avenue. Sollicité, the non-profit organization in charge of the programme, will collect the cigarette butts for local recycling, the plastic filters will be recycled, and the tobacco and paper scraps will be composted. If you notice that a cigarette receptacle is full, you can report it directly to Sollicité by scanning the QR code on the receptacle or by emailing environnement@westmount.org.
