Eco-responsible Move: The Right Gestures To Adopt

Moving? All you need to do to adopt eco-responsible practices and limit your ecological footprint is to be well prepared.

• Before you move: sell, donate or recycle what you can, and take the rest to an ecocenter. When in doubt, consult the Ça va où app.
• Choose reusable over disposables: reusable dishes, bottles, blankets and bags rather than paper, plastic and cardboard.
• On moving day, have clearly marked bins for recyclables, food waste, garbage and the ecocenter.
• Eco-friendly transportation: use a large truck to avoid multiple return trips, carpool or consider moving by bike.
•  Find out about sorting and collection regulations in your new neighbourhood.
• Use environmentally friendly products for cleaning and painting.
