Closure of the Belvedere Road Depot and Reminder for the Green Waste Collection
The City of Westmount wishes to inform its residents and contractors of upcoming changes regarding the management of green waste.
Closure of the Belvedere Road Depot
- The Belvedere Road Depot will close for the season next Friday, December 12.
- Reminder: Access to the Belvedere Depot is restricted to Westmount residents and contractors holding a valid City permit.

Curbside Collection (Green Waste)
Curbside collection of green waste is ongoing, subject to weather conditions.
- Suspension during snow: Please note that collection is paused during snow storms to ensure the safety of our teams and the efficiency of operations.
- Winter conditions (cold, ice, etc.) make collection operations more difficult. The City therefore reminds residents of the importance of following these guidelines:
- Maximum Weight: Paper bags and open containers must not exceed 50 lb (approximately 22.7 kg).
- Accessibility: Please ensure that your bags and containers are easily accessible and not stuck in the ice to allow for easy collection.
Your cooperation is essential so that the end-of-season collection can be completed quickly and safely.
