Fraudulent Solicitation Card—Waste collection
The City has been notified that several Westmount residents have received a "Holiday Gratitude" card requesting tips for the ‘‘local garbage man’’ via Interac e-Transfer to a personal email address (see photo below).
WARNING: this is an unauthorized and fraudulent solicitation that does not come from the City of Westmount or any of its contractors.
We strongly recommend that you do not respond to this request and do not send money to the address indicated on the card. If you wish to report this incident, you may contact the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
