Work to Secure Trails at Summit Woods this Winter
During the winter of 2025-2026, work will take place to clean and secure trails in Summit Woods.
Planned interventions include the removal of fallen trees and branches, as well as some preventive felling to ensure user safety. Certain sections of formal and informal trails will also be closed. These measures are intended to protect sensitive environments, reduce erosion, decrease habitat fragmentation, and promote forest regeneration.
Summit Woods is a natural area and certain risks are always present. The City reminds visitors to remain cautious when visiting the woods.
These works are planned as part of our efforts to preserve, restore, and reorganize the trail network at Summit Woods. The cooperation of all visitors to Summit Woods is essential to protect this exceptional site. Please respect the new access markers and use only official entrances.
