Programme 'A Tree for My Neighbourhood'
As a Westmount resident, benefit from the programme A Tree for My Neighbourhood and purchase a tree at an affordable price. Registration is open until May 24!
This greening initiative is offered by the Regroupement des éco‑quartiers (REQ) and the Société de verdissement du Montréal métropolitain (Soverdi) to residents of cities in the Montreal agglomeration. Make a real difference by helping to expand the urban tree canopy in your neighbourhood!
Why participate?
Planting a tree is a simple action that helps improve air quality, reduce heat islands, support biodiversity, and beautify your property and neighbourhood. Participating in this programme also means contributing to the collective effort to adapt to climate change!
Registration Period
- May 1-24, 2026
- Register and order your tree online only
Tree Selection and Pickup or Delivery Options
Participants can order different types of trees directly online, including:
- deciduous trees
- conifers
- fruit trees
Trees will be available in mid‑June and may be picked up at a designated distribution site (Éco‑quartier Ville‑Marie / Peter‑McGill, 1240 Saint‑Marc Street), delivered to your home, or planted by a professional service (optional).
Pricing
Through this programme, Westmount residents can purchase a tree starting at $85, depending on the species selected.
Optional services:
- Delivery: $30 for the first tree, then $15 for each additional tree
- Planting: $90 for the first tree, then $75 for each additional tree
