On May 27, 2025, City Council adopted the draft concordance by-laws for the Special Planning Programme (SPP) for the southeast sector. This SPP stems from the Imagine Westmount Southeast project, and aims to revitalise this sector of the City. The SPP has been largely developed thanks to the public's participation throughout the project, and will be finalised over the coming months.
A public assembly will be held on June 18, 2025, at 6 p.m., at Victoria Hall, to present the SPP and its concordance by-laws, and to allow the public to express their views on the project. This will also be an opportunity to acknowledge all those who have contributed to the project, in particular Westmount residents, business owners, and other stakeholders who took part in the numerous citizen participation activities held between June 2024 and January 2025.
The next stages of the project include the official adoption of the SPP by City Council in September 2025, and its integration into the City's Planning Programme.
