Westmount to Host its First Senior's Fair

To mark National Senior's Day, Westmount will host for the first time, on September 30, 2026, a fair featuring information booths and activities geared toward seniors.

Seniors represent an important portion of our City's population. They contribute profoundly to the community as volunteers, neighbours, family members, and friends. National Seniors' Day, celebrated in Canada on October 1, is an opportunity to recognize the role of older persons in our society, while also connecting with them and raising awareness of issues that speak to this demographic.

The Seniors' Fair will be hosted by the City of Westmount at Victoria Hall on Wednesday, September 30, from 2 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Visual Arts Centre and the Atwater Library. Organised by the Community Events Office and Westmount Public Safety, the event will feature:

  • information kiosks on services, community groups, and leisure activities for older persons;
  • an art workshop;
  • a presentation on internet safety and fraud prevention (registration required);
  • a presentation on fall prevention;
  • opportunities to connect the senior community to helpful resources!

All are invited to participate in this free event!
