Westmount flies the flag of Early Childhood Week, held from November 17 to 23, 2025.
Early Childhood Week encourages communities to make early childhood development a true social priority in Quebec. At the meeting on October 1, 2025, City Council passed a resolution in support of this week, which marks its 10th anniversary in 2025. Westmount joins hundreds of municipalities across Quebec in raising the Early Childhood Week flag on November 17, 2025, to kick off the event.

This Week is an opportunity to inspire and inform conversation about early childhood development, a step toward empowering every child to reach their highest potential. All week long, a number of activities are planned regionally and province-wide, and can be consulted on the website of the Collectif petite enfance, the event organisers.
The City encourages residents to familiarise themselves with the programming for young children and families offered at the Westmount Public Library, Victoria Hall and the Westmount Recreation Centre. Westmount is proud to offer a host of free events, ensuring access to opportunities for residents of all ages.
