  • Cty of Westmount

Door-to-door garden waste collection will resume on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Collection Days by Sector

  • Mondays: Sectors 1, 2, 3
  • Wednesdays: Sectors 4, 5, 6, 7
  • Fridays: Alleys

Accepted Materials

Green waste includes organic materials from your garden, such as:

  • leaves and plant trimmings
  • weeds and grass clippings
  • garden and fruit tree residues
  • small branches (maximum 5 cm in diameter and 1.2 m in length) tied with natural twine

Approved Containers

  • Paper bags or open containers with handles, weighing no more than 20 kg
  • Blue and green City bins are not accepted

Proper handling of green waste helps reduce the amount of material sent to landfill. Green waste is processed into compost or mulch, which is then redistributed to Westmount residents and local farmers.

The Belvedere Road depot will open on Monday, April 20, Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for contractors with a City permit and residents with proof of residency.
