Recyclable materials (blue bin) are collected once weekly for all addresses, on Wednesdays.
Food waste (green bin) is collected once weekly.
Garden waste is collected twice weekly for street side addresses, and once weekly for lane side addresses.
You may also bring your garden waste to the Belvedere depot upon presentation of a proof of residence or a valid contractor permit granted by the City.
The next special collection in Westmount will take place in the fall and will be announced in the events calendar. During summer, head your nearest ecocentre.
Collection is scheduled once monthly, by registration only, from May to October. Consult the events calendar for details.
From June 16 to October 31, the periods for walking your dog on or off leash at Summit Woods are as follows:
A person may be responsible for a maximum of 4 dogs at a time. All dogs must have a valid Westmount dog licence.

Parks in Westmount are intended for public use and must remain open and accessible at all times. Here are a few reminders to help everyone make the most of our parks this summer:

As of September 30, 2025, all residential pools and spas of 2000 litres or more, including those installed before 2010, must comply with the Provincial Residential Swimming Pool Safety Regulation.
Owners are responsible for informing themselves and making any modifications necessary to be in compliance with the regulation. Beginning in summer 2025, inspections will be carried out by the City to ensure that residential swimming pools comply with current regulations.
The summer session begins on June 23. Registration is ongoing so long as there is space available.
Registration for fall activities begins on August 5 for Westmount residents.
Throughout July and August, free activities are offered in Westmount Park every Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come and try belly dancing, yogalates and fitness classes in the fresh air !
The outdoor pool at the Westmount Recreation Centre is open for the 2025 season until Labour Day. Extended dates in September and the closing date of the pool will be announced according to weather conditions and other factors.
To access the pool, a valid Facility Membership Card or guest pass is mandatory at all times. Guest passes for general swim can be purchased at the pool desk (debit or credit only) for same-day use.
