Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and associated measures, the Urban Planning Department must unfortunately suspend its activities for an indefinite period of time. Until further notice, only permit requests for emergency work will be processed. By emergency work, we mean any work that can remedy a situation where human health and safety is jeopardized or the structural integrity of a building is compromised. Please note that the City of Westmount continues to provide essential services to citizens, such as snow removal, garbage, recycling and compost collection.

The Urban Planning Department is responsible for managing the planning and regulatory framework. These tools allow the City to plan land development and set the rules governing construction and land use.

In order to better meet the demands and expectations of Westmount residents, the Urban Planning Department mandated ÉNAP to analyze the permit process. Please consult the following documents below:
