Asphalt Patching Work on Lansdowne, Edgehill, and Severn Avenues

As part of its road maintenance program, the City of Westmount will carry out asphalt patching work on targeted sections of the following streets starting July 6:

  • Lansdowne Ave. (between Sherbrooke St. W. and Côte-Saint-Antoine Rd.)
  • Edgehill Ave. (between Lexington Ave. and The Boulevard — east half)
  • Severn Ave. (between Mountain Ave. and Mount Pleasant Ave.)

What is patching?
Unlike full resurfacing, these localized interventions consist solely of replacing the top layer of asphalt on specific sections where the pavement is severely deteriorated and eliminating recurring potholes to secure the roadway. No work is planned on the roadway foundation or underground infrastructure. This type of cost effective repairs quickly improves driving conditions and extends the useful life of the road while a larger-scale, full rehabilitation project for the street is being planned.
