The transplant of 25 trees is scheduled for May 26, 2025, at King George Park.
The City is currently carrying out Phase 5 of a 5-year action plan, from 2022 to 2027, to ensure that a new life cycle takes root in King George Park, where several trees have posed a safety risk due to having exceeded their natural lifespan or being damaged by invasive insects.
Tree transplants that will take place in the spring of 2025 will allow for existing, healthy trees to be planted in locations that best suit the ideology of the project plan, and where they will be able to flourish.
