STM Strike–September 22 to October 5
The Montréal Transit Union (maintenance employees) has announced a strike from September 22 to October 5, 2025, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This will impact STM bus and metro services.
During this period, service will operate on a reduced schedule on strike days only, according to the following time slots:
Metro:
- 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- 2:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m. to the usual closing time
Bus:
- 6:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.
Unlike the previous strike, service will be maintained until the end of each scheduled period. Final métro and bus departures will take place at the end of each time slot. The STM is committed to informing the public as soon as possible about service levels during the strike.
