You will find below a list of the positions that we anticipate will be available during the summer of 2026. Please choose a maximum of two positions that you are qualified for and interested in, as well as the approximate date you will be available to start working.

The positions will be awarded to candidates with the appropriate qualifications and experience and only those selected will be interviewed.
Qualifications: be enrolled in a DVS in automobile mechanics and diesel full time prior to the summer period. Bilingual (French and English), basic knowledge of techniques, practices and tools used in the trade or occupation. Work safety measures, use the necessary tools to work, consult parts catalogs, understand the maintenance manuals and draft, if necessary, requests for materials. Demonstrate team work and versatility. Must be available from mid-May to late August.
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English), National Lifeguard (NLS), Red Cross Instructor’s, LifeSaving Instructors, Standard First Aid Training and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Swimming Pool Operator’s. Lifeguarding/instructing experience. Managerial experience preferable. Required mid-May to mid-September (must be willing to work days, evenings & weekends).
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English), National Lifeguard (NLS), Red Cross Instructor’s, LifeSaving instructors, Standard First Aid Training and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Swimming Pool Operator’s. Lifeguarding/instructing experience. Administering pool event and programs. Required mid-May to mid-September (must be willing to work days, evenings & weekends).
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English), mature, ability to organize and plan activities and to manage employee teams, ability to work with children, background in all team and individual sports, arts and crafts, theatre, music and science. Recreation or physical education students or relevant experience required. Required mid-June to mid-August. Must have been Camp Monitor for at least one (1) full summer.
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English), must have basic knowledge of tennis rules and ability to work with the public. Responsible for managing court reservations when required, monitor the installations and maintain order. Required mid-May to end of September (must be willing to work days, evenings & weekends).
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English). Second or third-year student in a recognized horticultural school. Oversees the work of landscape maintenance subcontractors through inspections and onsite visits. Required knowledge of arboriculture and horticulture terms and methods. Required knowledge of the Pesticides Act and the Pesticides Management Code, as they relate to Westmount and Montreal, and by-laws on pesticides. Must be available from April to the end of September.
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English). Responsible for educating Westmount citizens on various environmental issues. Conducts door-to-door rounds and visual inspections of the contents of various residual material bins (garbage, recycling, compost). Set up information booths in public places. Conducts educational workshops with various populations. Must be available from April to the end of September (must be available to work days, evenings and weekends).
Qualifications: bilingual (French and English), minimum one year completed in police training and First aid and CPR certification. Must provide a continual presence in the parks of the City and must be able to be tactful with the public. Required mid-May to end of August, following a rotation system of two schedules (days and evenings) including weekends.
