In collaboration with the Westmount Public Library, the McEntyre Writing Competition and the Visual Arts Center.
The View from my Window
In celebration of this year's McEntyre Writing Competition's theme, “The View from My Window,” the Visual Arts Centre hosted art workshops for over 200 students from École Saint-Léon-de-Westmount, Westmount Park Elementary, and The Priory.
Led by our talented art educators—Chloë Lalonde, Josepha Dumas, Alejandra Zamudio, and Hazel Thexton—students explored the theme by creating vibrant mixed-media "window panes." Using a combination of drawing, gouache painting, and collage, each young artist imagined and expressed a view they would love to see from their window.
This special project was made possible thanks to the support of the City of Westmount and the collaboration of the Westmount Public Library.
We’re thrilled to share these creative and heartfelt artworks with the community—thank you for celebrating our students’ vision and creativity!
