Westmount Welcomes Julie Mandeville, its new Director General
On Friday, January 27, 2023, Mayor Christina M. Smith and members of Council unveiled their highly-anticipated nomination for the position of Director General. They announced that Julie Mandeville will be taking on the role, set to officially begin on February 20, 2023.
This historic appointment marks a milestone for Westmount, as Mandeville becomes the first woman to hold the position of Director General in the City. Known for her managerial courage and sense of fairness, she is well prepared to lead this administration and serve the City of Westmount.
Mayor Smith expresses her excitement for this new leadership, stating, “We are on a path to strong leadership coming from someone who is dedicated to the City.” As Westmount prepares to welcome its new Director General, there is no doubt that Julie Mandeville will lead the City effectively with the challenges ahead.
