Westmount upgrades its telephone system on December 4, 2024
With the objective of making the City more accessible, Westmount is upgrading to a new telephone system that uses Internet Protocol (IP) to transmit voice. The implementation of the new system will take place between noon (12 p.m.) and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The new system will ensure more efficient call handling and better redistribution of calls. New features for the Public Safety Department and Hydro Westmount will also be included
Important: To reach a City employee, callers will be able to use a telephone directory from the main menu.
Callers are asked to pay particular attention to the new telephone menu options following the implementation of the upgraded system.
