The Friday garbage collections of December 25 , 2020 and January 1, 2021 are moved to Saturday, December 26, 2020 and January 2, 2021. Other collections remain the same.
Christmas tree collection
Christmas trees will be collected on Wednesday, January 13 and Wednesday 20 exclusively. Please place your tree on your property next to the sidewalk. It should be free of decorations and easily accessible.
Access to waste materials
It is important to ensure that contractors have full access to waste bins on collection days. Please make sure to:
- Remove snow and ice from access roads and areas around the bins to allow safe passage for employees;
- Place the bins curbside or in lanes so that they do not interfere with snow removal operations.
If pathways to the bins are not free of snow on collection days, it is the responsibility of residents and building managers to place the bins at the curb or in the lane to ensure they are accessible to the City’s contractor. The latter could refuse to collect any bin deemed inaccessible.
