Visit a recycling centre and a landfill

Where does your garbage go? What happens to your recyclables, and how can we better sort our waste?

As part of the Québec Waste Reduction Week, the City invites its residents to participate in two guided tours to discover the recycling and landfill process. Become an expert in the matter !

Please note that:

the tour is reserved for Westmount residents aged 8 and over.
the tours take place indoors and outdoors, so dress for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
buses will leave from the Westmount Recreation Centre (4675 Rue Sainte-Catherine O.) parking lot

Visit to Société Via’s recycling sorting center (Lachine)

Date : October 24 (regardless of weather)
Meeting time: 8:45 a.m., WRC parking lot
Return to the WRC: +/- 12:45 p.m. (depending on traffic conditions)

Visit to the Complexe Enviro Connexions landfill site (Terrebonne)

Date : October 31 (regardless of weather)
Meeting time: 8:45 a.m., WRC parking lot
Return to the WRC: +/- 1:30 p.m. (depending on traffic conditions)
