Ville de Montréal: Partial closure of Route 136 starting December 4
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility informs road users that there will be partial closures of Route 136 in both directions, in the area of the Ville-Marie and Viger tunnels, starting December 4, 2024. These closures are necessary to continue the work on the Rue Saint-Urbain overpass bridge.
Traffic Management
From December 3, 2024, 10 p.m., until spring 2025:
- One lane closed in the westbound direction of Route 136, between Rue Panet and Rue Saint-Urbain, including the Viger tunnel.
- A second lane closed on a short stretch of Route 136 in the westbound direction, between Boulevard Saint-Laurent and Rue Saint-Urbain.
From December 4, 2024, 10 p.m., until spring 2025:
- One lane closed in the eastbound direction of Route 136, between Exit No. 4 (Victoria Bridge/Blvd. R.-Bourassa/Rue dela Montagne) and the area of Boulevard Saint-Laurent, including the Ville-Marie tunnel.
- A second lane closed on a short stretch of Route 136 in the eastbound direction, between the entrance of Boulevard Robert-Bourassa and the area of Boulevard Saint-Laurent.
Road users should be aware that these closures may be postponed due to unfavourable weather conditions or operational constraints. Before heading out, it is strongly recommended to consult Québec 511 for the latest information and to plan trips efficiently.
