Ville de Montréal: Important Traffic Changes on Rue Saint-Antoine and Rue Rose-de-Lima
Starting December 12, several roads will reopen and traffic adjustments will take place in the Rue Rose-de-Lima area, bringing significant improvements for residents and commuters.
1. Rue Rose-de-Lima: Full Reopening
Work on Rue Rose-de-Lima, between Rue Saint-Antoine and Rue Notre-Dame Ouest, is now complete. The street will fully reopen to traffic starting December 12. The completed work includes:
- Replacement of the water main and sewer lines,
- Complete reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks,
- Installation of a bidirectional bike lane,
- Street greening with new tree planting pits.
2. Rue Saint-Antoine: Return to Normal Traffic Flow
As of December 12, traffic flow on Rue Saint-Antoine, between Avenue Atwater and Rue Rose-de-Lima, will return to its normal westbound direction. This change ends the temporary traffic modifications that were in place during the construction.
3. Winter Break for Work on Rue Saint-Antoine
Construction on Rue Saint-Antoine, between Rue du Couvent and Rue Sainte-Marguerite, will pause for the winter. All traffic disruptions and parking restrictions will be lifted during this period. Work will resume in spring 2025, between Rue Sainte-Marguerite Street and Rue De Courcelle.
