Turcot Project: Sandblasting Operations in the Greene Avenue Sector as of May 6
The ministère des Transports wishes to inform you that daytime operations resulting in very high noise levels will be carried out between May 6 and mid-August in the Greene Avenue Sector.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.*
*These operations will not be carried out continuously
Work Description: Treatment of the retaining wall with sandblast to apply a coating to facilitate the cleaning of graffitis.
Sound Environment: Due to the nature of the operations to be carried out, the equipment required and the constraints limiting the mitigation measures. The noise levels permitted for these operations will exceed the thresholds normally allowed. They could reach up to 92 dB, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Mitigation Measures: The Ministère is aware of the inconveniences this work may cause. Therefore, every effort is being made to reduce the impacts on the residents, particularly:
- Installation of acoustic panels around certain fixed equipment
- Noise monitoring on site
