STM project: work on Sherbrooke St. to improve bus transit starting the week of June 11
The STM wishes to inform residents of its project to install new controllers and « Candlestick » priority traffic signals for buses on Sherbrooke Street to improve bus transit. Bus preferential measures (BPM) are installations on the road system that ensure priority is given to public transit, thereby improving the reliability and on-time delivery of service.
Work will begin during the week of June 11 and is scheduled to last at least 15 days. During this period, traffic lights on Sherbrooke Street between Wood and Claremont Avenues will not be synchronized due to the replacement of controllers.
Synchronization of the traffic lights will be restored at the end of the work, which is expected to be completed in late June 2018, according to information from the STM.
