Snow loading operation update – Wednesday, February 19

Snow loading operations will begin on Thursday, February 20 at 4 a.m. on commercial streets. A crew will continue loading snow in school zones from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.

Regular day crews will resume snow loading operations in the City on Friday, February 21 starting at 5 a.m. The  loading is expected to be completed by 3:00 p.m on that day.

The schedule for snow clearing and loading operations is subject to change depending on weather conditions. Priority will be given to clearing snow from major arterial roads and school zones.

You can now also track on an interactive map, in real-time, the location and movements of snow removal crews during their operations.  >>  Click here to consult the snow removal map.

To avoid delay snow loading operations, please do not push the snow into streets or lanes after the loading crews have passed.

Please be patient and cooperative with the snow removal crews in the streets.

Parking: advance warning of snow loading operations is signaled by flashing or fixed lights on major thoroughfares and by special notices placed on side streets. Please pay close attention to the temporary orange signage; parked vehicles that hinder snow removal operations will be towed.

Snow removal: snow from private driveways and walkways may be added to the existing snowbanks before their removal, but must never obstruct public sidewalks, lanes or streets. Fines may be levied on homeowners and/or contractors who contravene these regulations. On collection days, please ensure that materials are kept out of the path of street and sidewalk ploughs.

Your cooperation will ensure more efficient snow removal. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these operations.
