Slowdown of operations due to COVID-19 cases
Due to an important level of cases of COVID-19 within our Public Works Department, we expect a slowdown in our operations and some of our activities, especially snow removal operations, park maintenance and collection pick-ups. However, please be assured that our staff will maintain essential services for the safety and security of residents. In addition, our snow removal teams will continue to clear roads and sidewalks. Please respect all signage when parking your vehicle to allow more efficient snow removal operations.
All administrative buildings, including City Hall, Westmount Recreation Centre, and Westmount Public Library, will remain closed to the public until further notice.
As announced on December 31 by the Gouvernement du Québec, curfew measures between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. are now in place. For more information about the curfew, please go to the Gouvernement du Québec website. We ask that everyone respect these measures to help curb the propagation. So, for outdoor activities in Westmount parks, like skating and tobogganing, parks will close at 9:30 p.m.
The ongoing situation has been difficult for everyone, and we appreciate your continued understanding and patience.
