Sale for non payment of taxes for 2014 and 2015

At its regular sitting held on January 16, 2017, the Municipal Council of the City of Westmount adopted Resolution no. 2017-01-15 ordering the City Clerk to proceed with the sale of certain immovables for failure to pay taxes, pursuant to sections 511 and following of the Cities and Towns Act (CQLR, chapter C-19).

The sale is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall located at 4333 Sherbrooke Street West in Westmount.

A notice for the sale of immovables will be published in the newspaper on two separate occasions: February 4, 2017 and February 25, 2017.

As the case may be, you may avoid having your property sold for failure to pay taxes by paying in full your arrears in principle for the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years, as well as any interests and additional costs to the Finance Department. This payment must be made by Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 9:59 a.m. at the latest.
