Removal of pedestrian corridors as of September 16
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Westmount established numerous pedestrian corridors throughout the city to allow residents to safely walk on sidewalks and roads while physically distancing. Given the drop in use of these corridors and, as per the recommendation from the Centre de sécurité civile to remove all pedestrian corridors on the island, we will begin removing our corridors as of Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
We wish to reiterate that the virus is still present and we must remain vigilant. Please continue to wash your hands, wear a mask and physically distance.
