Property taxes: first instalment due May 27, 2021

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, City Hall is closed to the public. If you wish to make your municipal tax payment at City Hall, please insert your cheque into the mail slot in the door at the west side entrance of City Hall. Please note that cash payments will NOT be accepted.

In the context of COVID-19, Council is working to provide its residents some respite. The deadlines for the two property tax instalments have been postponed, with the first instalment due May 27, 2021 and the second instalment due August 26, 2021. Please note there will not be an extension of this deadline.

  • by mail (cheque payable to the City of Westmount)
  • in person at 4333 Sherbrooke Street West (cheque inserted in mail slot – NO CASH)
  • by credit card by clicking here.

Penalties
Payment can be made in two instalments. An interest rate of 9% per annum will be charged on the unpaid balance. A penalty of 0.5% per month on the outstanding principal will also be charged to a maximum of 5%, over and above the interest charges.
