Montreal: public meeting concerning the reporting of a hate incident or a hate crime

STEPS IN THE COMPLAINT PROCESS WHEN A HATE INCIDENT OR A HATE CRIME IS REPORTED

The Commission de la sécurité publique (committee) invites Montrealers to attend a public meeting during which the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) will give a presentation on what happens when it receives a complaint related to a hate crime or a hate incident.

The committee would like to inform interested parties that the public meeting will be held as follows:

  • TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
    Council chamber, city hall (Lucien-Saulnier building)
    155, rue Notre-Dame Est, Montréal (Québec) H2Y 1B5

The SPVM’s presentation will be followed by a question and comment period for members of the public in the meeting room.

Documents (in French) related to the public meeting will be available on the public meeting webpage on November 10. If you would like to ask a question or make a comment, please register before the end of the break following the presentation by completing the online form (in French), which will be available on November 10 on the public meeting webpage. On-site registration will also be available for those attending the meeting in person.
