Water leak and road damage on Greene, north of Saint-Antoine – Update

The water main repair work has been completed, and the water supply has been restored to the affected buildings.

The portion of Greene Ave. that was closed will be reopened for the weekend. However, asphalt work will be carried out next week (week of July 22).

The break occurred on a City of Montreal’s water main that was already scheduled for reconstruction in 2025.

A broken water main caused a water leak and damage to the road on Avenue Greene north of Saint-Antoine on the morning of Friday, July 19. Due to this incident, Avenue Greene is closed to traffic between Rue Saint-Antoine and Boulevard Dorchester. Please avoid driving in this area. Traffic delays are expected.

City of Westmount crews are on site to assess the situation and begin repairs. Emergency repairs are expected to be completed in the afternoon.
