HYDRO WESTMOUNT: Installation of New Traffic Lights System on Ste Catherine St – starting June 26 to August 28

The installation of a new traffic lights system project from Glen Road to Redfern Avenue will begin on Monday, June 26 at 7 a.m. weather permitting. The work requires the restriction of traffic circulation during the construction:

• a traffic hindrance on the flow of traffic on both lanes on Ste Catherine Street near Glen Road,
• a traffic hindrance on one lane on Ste Catherine Street in both directions near Park Place,
• a traffic hindrance on one lane on Ste Catherine Street in both directions near Melville Ave.,
• a traffic hindrance on one lane on Ste Catherine Street in both directions near Redfern Ave.

The project aims to improve traffic circulation on Ste Catherine with new traffic technologies and the installation of radar and camera detectors to be operated seamlessly with new traffic controllers. Electrical infrastructure work including the construction of new underground conduit banks will also be carried out as part of this project.
