How to Join a Zoom Webinar
You can join and watch a webinar on your computer as an attendee using the Zoom app (recommended) or directly from your browser. If you are using a tablet or a smartphone, you must use the Zoom app.
Please click on the desired option below and follow the steps.
If you don’t have the Zoom app installed on your computer:
1 – Click on the webinar link
2 – In the window that opens, click on “Download Now”.
3 – When the application is downloaded, it will open automatically, or you may have to open it manually depending on your computer settings.
4 – After the application is opened the installation will start.
5 – In the next window that opens, please enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields and click on “Join Webinar”.
If you had already installed the Zoom app on your computer:
1 – Click on the Webinar link
2 – In the pop-up box that opens, click on “Open Zoom.us”.
3 – In the pop-up box that opens, please enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields and click on “Join Webinar”.
If you do not yet have the Zoom App installed on your computer:
1 – Click on the Webinar link.
2 – In the page that will open, scroll to the bottom of the page, then click “Join on your browser”.
3 – On the next page that opens, you can click either on “Block” or “Allow” access to your microphone and camera in the pop-up box. This does not matter in a webinar setting because attendees are not visible or audible to the rest of the audience and panelists. Next, enter your name in the appropriate field, check the box to indicate that you are not a robot, then click “Join”.
3 – On the next page, enter your email address in the appropriate field and click “Join”.
4 – On the next page, click on “Join Audio by Computer”.
If you had already installed the Zoom app on your computer:
1 – Click on the webinar link.
2 – On the page that opens, click “Cancel” in the pop-up box.
3 – On the next page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Join from Your Browser”.
4 – On the next page, enter your name in the appropriate field, check the box to indicate that you are not a robot, and click “Join”.
5 – On the next page, click on “Join Audio by Computer”.
If you don’t have the app on your device:
1 – Download and install the Zoom Cloud Meetings app available at App store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android).
2 – Open on the webinar link.
3 – In the dialog box that appears, please enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields and press “OK”.
If you already have the App installed on your device:
1 – Click on the webinar link.
2 – In the dialog box that appears, please enter your name and email address in the appropriate fields and press “OK”.
During certain webinars, you may be able to use the Q&A tool to ask questions. To use the Q&A tool, please follow these steps:
1 – During the webinar, position your cursor at the bottom of the screen and click on the Q&A icon .
2 – In the dialog box that opens, type your question in the field at the bottom of the box and click “Submit”
